Second-guessing
Sarcasm. The type of humor that I just don't understand. When people use sarcasm, (I think) I can tell that something is a little off. But I'm never sure what to make of it - is it really just humor? Sometimes I get the feeling that people say it sarcastically, just for the plausible deniability.
Dubious statements are a related issue. When people tell me that they feel a certain way, want a particular thing, or expect something specific of the future, I'm going to act as though you say what you mean. I don't have the energy to figure out that you mean A if you said B. This is more predictable.
I don't want to second-guess you. I may not even have the skills needed.
