A Large Drop in the Ocean

One of the things that give life meaning, is to make the world a better place. I'm just an individual person, you might be thinking, I'm just a drop in the ocean. Whatever I do will barely move the needle.

That is true, of course, but it's hardly an argument for not even trying. You'll just be a drop in the ocean, but you can aim to be a large drop in the ocean. To have an outsize effect on the state of the world, even though you alone can only do so much.
